Amy Jackson Born 31 January 1991 is a British model and film actress, who has appeared in Indian feature films. Before starting her acting career, Jackson won the Miss Teen World competition in 2008, and also later finished third in Miss England 2010. She later went on to appear in the successful Tamil period-drama, Madrasapattinam, which won her plaudits for her role.

Released on 9 July 2010, Madrasapattinam was a huge hit of the year 2010. Now, Amy has replaced Trisha Krishnan in Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa Hindi remake to be directed by Gautham Menon.

Gautam menon's next movie in Hindi Film can be anticipated soon with this complete new pair,prateik babbar and amy jackson.Gautam menon had recently announced the entry of amy jackson as the lead actress along with Prateik babbar in this movie.

And following this, much controversies pops up from the actress Trisha about the latest decision taken from  Gautam,  as she had been already assigned for this role by the director itself, in the hindi remake of 'vinnaithandi varuvaya'.

Justification was given from the director's close associates that amy jackson would better suit for this role, as there was little modifications been done for this character in hindi remake, to suit the Hindi audience's expectation.
